Christian Service/Health Committee

The Christian Service/Health Committee meets monthly to develop and oversee service for human needs in our parish and community. They sponsor such events as the Giving Tree, the Annual Fall Clothing Drive, hosting the Ethnic Treats celebration after Mass on Pentecost Sunday and "Soup"er Bowl Food Collection Weekend. They are also responsible for overseeing the grant applications for those organizations wishing to receive funds through our second collection. This committee also works to strengthen the health and spirituality link at Saint John's. It coordinates an annual Blood Drive, periodic blood pressure checks, emergency procedures during worship services (A.E.D. and C.P.R.) and health referral services as needed. Registered Nurses volunteer for the Blood Pressure Checks performed during Sunday Socials. All parishioners are welcome to join this committee.
